Wash Day

As promised, here is the next of the Guild projects. I made a 'washing line' of dresses for Ruby's room and decided to make another one but needed something to house it.
First off I made the soap powder box with a hinged lid but it looked rubbish, so I took the lid off and made a sleeve instead.

I love this because it can either hang on the wall, with photos on one side and the pockets can be filled with tickets and memorabilia, or it can be punched and ring bound.
I shall retake the photos of the other projects as the quality really is shocking! lol :0)

Photography is not my strong point!

Just as a caveat to the post below, having waited for a sunny day to photograph my projects, I realise now that it might have been better to draw the blinds! Sorry for all the shadows and whatnot...........must try harder!

More Guild Projects

Hi all,
we have now had Ruby and Eloise's birthday celebrations so I am able to get on with more of the Guild stuff, not long to go now.
Although I have managed to take photos of all of the projects as we, at last, have a sunny day, I am only going to upload a couple at a time.
The first one is a Birdhouse Mini. I had already made one but when I stood it next to everything else the colours were all wrong. So, dug out yet more Webster's Pages papers and created this little beauty. I love this album not just because of the concept (the mini is attached to the roof and sits inside the house) but also because there is so much room for adding photos and journalling. I suppose it would be best suited to a nature/garden lover but I would happily fill it with any old photos!

Having now uploaded this, it has occurred to me that ribbons should have been added to the ring binding on the roof, so please imagine there is cream ribbon!

The book itself. You can see the roof 'pages' to the left.

The inner pages are made up of two flap pockets that are attached back to back with a couple of tags sandwiched between them.

So you can put photos on the flaps, the photo mats and the tags.............oodles of space!

The next project is my favourite, I think!
I was pondering why someone would want to create a memory album and came up with travel, either a holiday, a favourite destination or a journey. So the Travel Trunk mini came into being.

Grungeboard 'belt' is threaded through a D ring and held in place with a magnet. The journal tag, car charm and wander disc are attached by a ball chain. The 'crocodile' strips are cream card that I ran through an embossing folder - sweet eh?

The binding inside is an accordian fold so that the pockets and mini photo album sit inside snugly.

Here are the bits and bobs that sit inside:

The papers and cardstock used for the pockets and book are Cosmo Cricket 'Joy Ride'.
Hope you like these two memory albums :0) see you soon with some more, Ali x
